Lek Ranch

Lek Ranch

Opportunity:
On her 2,000 acre cattle ranch with extensive conservation easements, the owner wanted a master plan for a ranch complex and landscape. Desiring buildings and a landscape in harmony with both the beautiful site and the principles of conservation, the owner committed to restoring the ecology of the ranch.

Response:
As elements of our master plan for the ranch we designed the ranch house and its interior, a barn with an apartment, outbuildings, and a reintroduced prairie. Reflecting the spare majesty of the Big Horn foothills, the shingle house fits unobtrusively into the Bear Creek Draw.
