Ramsey-Washington Metro Watershed District Offices

RWMWD Offices

Architecture that expresses client’s conservation mission: Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed District Offices.

Organized around a central, glassy spine that invites the community in for after hours uses, this building is a living expression of the stewardship mission of the watershed district. A green roof on the building and extensive rain gardens all around serve as demonstrations for builders and homeowners.

This is a simple, cost-effective facility that is naturally lit, ventilated, and designed to include envelope and mechanical system strategies with a 10-year or less payback. More than just a pragmatic solution to a specific program, the design responds to the compact site by emphasizing views and opportunities to highlight water management best practices.

Completed in collaboration with Michael Huber Architects, Barr Engineering, and Cain & Ouse Engineers. Read more about the offices here.
