This is my second time participating in the AIA Minnesota Homes by Architects Tour. The last time was a rousing success – with many visitors driving all the way to St. Peter to see the house and landscape. A number of those visitors were ready to make plans of their own. The house I have on the tour this year is owned by one couple who previously came on the tour. How wonderful is that?
I really enjoy the opportunity to talk in person with folks who make the effort to come see the home I have designed. Standing in the space makes it real in a way that photos and words just can’t do. I enjoy sharing how what I do as an architect — resolving conundrums like how to achieve good views while not allowing in too much bright sun. There are design answers to this often missed conflict. Come see how we did this in Golden Valley at house #9.
